In the 1990s - 2010s he was also teaching at the New Economic School and Academy of National Economy (Moscow), at Queen's University, University of Toronto and Carleton University in Canada, Helsinki School of Economics in Finland, University of Kaiserslautern in Germany, Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel; he was holding visiting research positions in Italy, Japan, Sweden, US.

from the Economics Department of the Moscow State University in 1976 and holds
PH.D.s (Candidate of Science, 1980; and Doctor of Science, 1990) from the
Institute of the US and Canada of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
